I have been invited to attend a session for PCC candidates in Derbyshire via a video link. It is tomorrow, Friday. The content is described as follows: At this meeting we will talk you through the current structure of the office, the duties of the two statutory officers and how the duties of a PCC are currently discharged. There will be an input by the Chief Constable giving you a brief overview of policing within Derbyshire and we will be joined by a senior officer from the East Midlands Regional Collaboration Team to give you an oversight of work that takes place across the East Midlands region (Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire and Nottinghamshire.) We are also hoping to have a representative from Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service to talk about the collaborative work between the Police and Fire services in Derbyshire. I am looking forward to the session.
