Last night I attended the Annual General Meeting of the Bramcote Hills Community Association. I had been asked to give them a presentation on: "Who is the Mayor, What does the Mayor do, and Are there any health implications?".
I thoroughly enjoyed both preparing for the event and delivering the talk/presentation to those present. Back in the late 70s and early 80s I was a committee member of the BHCA and also the Chairman, for a time, and it was great to reminisce those happy times.
It was gratifying to listen to the business being conducted and to see that the Association is still going strong with some 1100 households signed up as members out of a possible 1500, and much ongoing interest in the activities that are arranged for the members.
This is a thank you to those who invited me, a thanks to those who have continued to work so hard over the years and especially Ann Hart who has just retired as the Chair, and an offer of best wishes to those who remain involved.
