I am delighted to report that the Mayor Stapleford Cllr Chris Rice and his wife Kath have accepted an invitation to attend the fundraising barbecue on 26 August. Many thanks to the Town Clerk, Margaret Downie for arranging this.
Dear Everyone Now that I am retired I have taken up several charitable appointments and currently I am helping raise funds for two of these. I chair the SW Notts Scouts Executive Committee which is raising funds to help Scouts attend the International Scout Jamboree that will be held in the USA in 2019. I am also the lay-chair of the St Michael and All Angels (Bramcote Parish Church) Parochial Church Council which is raising funds for a number of commitments, repairs and projects that will benefit the church and the local community. I would really love it if you could help me support both of these causes. On Saturday 26 August I will walk with my dog Charlie from my home in Bramcote to Langley Mill and back. We will use part of the Erewash Valley Trail along the Nottingham Canal Nature Reserve. After we return (at around 4pm if all goes well) I will be hosting a barbecue at my home. Would you please consider sponsoring me and Charlie for the walk, and/or come to the barbecue and make a donation towards these two worthy causes? I would be very grateful indeed. All donations that are made out to Stan Heptinstall will be put in a special account and then the whole will be split 50/50 between the two charities. Alternatively you can donate directly to either SW Notts Scouts or Bramcote PCC if that is your wish. ![]() Please send donations to my home address which is: Stan Heptinstall 8 Cranston Road Bramcote Nottingham NG9 3GU Also please let me know if you are coming to the barbecue (this is for catering purposes). I can be contacted on 07792987890 or by email at stan.heptinstall@ntlworld.com Many thanks for considering this. Stan Photo: Stan and Charlie after a practice walk |
